Five bedroom, countryside holiday home The Tallet comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests. Tastefully decorated and enjoying far reaching countryside views, this two storey, dog friendly* cottage with underfloor heating is the perfect retreat for those looking to escape to North Devon and enjoy the best of the coast and Exmoor National Park with everything within easy reach. The self-catering property also benefits from its own private hot tub located on the patio, where guests can unwind whilst listening to the sounds of the countryside or admire the dark skies lit up by thousands of stars.
Please note The Tallet can now sleep up to 10 guests making it perfect for large families or groups. The Tallet sleeping 10 is a combination of the former Upper and Lower Tallet. This provides guests with three bedrooms and a family bathroom on the first floor and two bedrooms and two bathrooms downstairs. Guests can also take advantage of an additional smaller kitchen and living room on the ground floor, making it the perfect place for enjoying some peace and quiet.
Outside of peak weeks and school holidays it is possible to book just Upper Tallet, which on its own accommodates up to six guests.
*dogs are only permitted in the Lower Tallet section of the property (ground floor)
The open plan living area is bright and airy with lots of space for friends or family to gather. Each area is cleverly designed and provides a wonderful homely atmosphere for guests. There is a comfy lounge with sofas, and a large DVD collection from which to choose your nightly film.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for a self-catering holiday in North Devon such as a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and an electric oven/hob. Meals can be enjoyed around the dining table, which seats up to 10, or at the handy breakfast bar.

The first bedroom is a good sized double with a king size bed. It also benefits from a wall-mounted TV, which can be useful for entertaining any little ones and plenty of storage facilities.
The second bedroom, like the first, is traditionally styled. It has a king size double bed, a wardrobe and a dressing table, which overlooks the countryside views.
The final bedroom provides friends and family with plenty of flexibility. On request the bedroom can be made up as either a super-king size double bed or two full size single beds. This bedroom also has a built in wardrobe.
All three bedrooms share the family bathroom, which is fitted with a bath, a separate shower, a WC and a wash basin.
The cosy living room is perfect for all seasons and is a great place to sit back and relax. The living room features two comfortable sofas positioned around a wood burning stove and a wall-mounted TV.
Adjacent to the living area is the apartment’s dining area, which has a table able to seat up to four people. There is also a desk with plenty of room for your laptop or writing if needing to work whilst on holiday in North Devon.
The dual-aspect kitchen has been tastefully decorated with premium worktops and fixtures, including an electric oven/hob, Microwave, washing machine, and a fridge with freezer compartment, along with a good range of pots, pans and other necessities for a self-catering holiday.
The main bedroom at Lower Tallet features a king-size bed and thanks to two large window its lovely and bright. The bedroom also has two large bedside tables and a free standing pine wardrobe. In the far corner of the bedroom, you will find the modern en-suite bathroom featuring a walk-in shower with rainfall head, a wash basin and a WC.
Lower Tallet’s second bedroom features a standard sized double bed and a built-in fitted wardrobe. It also benefits from its own en-suite bathroom fitted with a walk-in shower, a wash basin, a WC and a heated towel rail.
The best place to enjoy a morning coffee is on the patio, where you can admire the countryside views. The patio features a table and chairs ideal for alfresco dinners and a gas BBQ.
Also, on the patio is the private hot tub, which is available all year round and a great addition to this wonderful holiday cottage.
The Tallet guests also have access to the shared games room through which the hot tub area is accessed. The room features a pool table and table tennis.
